Frequently asked questions

Cranix, accounts, privacy and the apps

What is Cranix?

Cranix is a small suite of connected apps — Cranix One (chat & calls), Player (local media), Notes (a widget workspace) and Scout (League of Legends scouting) — that share one account and are built privacy-first by a solo developer.

Is it free?

Yes. Every feature is free. The only paid thing planned is Cranix+, a cosmetic-only membership (themes, effects, badges) that never gates a feature, a limit, storage, or quality.

How does Cranix make money?

Right now it doesn't — it's free. The plan is the cosmetic-only Cranix+ membership. Functionality is never paywalled.

Do I need an account?

The apps work without one. Sign in with a free Cranix account when you want cloud sync and cross-device features — and one account works across every Cranix app.

Do you track me or sell my data?

No. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and nothing is sold. The only analytics is a single cookieless page-view count. See the Transparency page.

Is my account secure?

Passwords are bcrypt-hashed and checked against known breaches, you can turn on two-factor authentication, and you can see and sign out every device. See the Security page.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes — at any time from your account page, with no email or cancellation hoops. Export everything, or delete your account outright.

What platforms are supported?

Cranix One runs in the browser and as a Windows desktop app. Player, Notes and Scout are Windows desktop apps today, with more platforms planned.

Is Cranix One available yet?

Cranix One is in closed beta. You can join the waitlist to be invited.

How do I report a bug or get help?

Use the Report a bug page for bugs, or the Support page for anything else — both go straight to the dev.

Who makes Cranix?

Cranix is built by one person, Ciaran Moore, in the open.
