Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Cranix websites, apps, downloads, beta builds, support channels, accounts, game tools, or related services, you agree to these terms.

Cranix is a personal software project operated by Ciaran Moore. Cranix is not currently a registered limited company. In these terms, “Cranix”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the Cranix project and the person operating it.

1. Project Status

Cranix is currently a personal project. Some products are experimental, in development, in closed beta, or provided for testing. Features may change, break, be renamed, be paused, or be discontinued at any time.

Cranix currently focuses on Cranix One, Cranix Player, Cranix Notes, Cranix Scout, and future Cranix Core services. Older pages, experiments, community tools, or test projects may exist, but they should not be treated as guaranteed long-term products unless Cranix clearly says so.

2. Eligibility and Responsibility

  • You must follow the rules of any third-party platform you use with Cranix, including Discord, GitHub, Riot Games, Microsoft, supported media providers, and any other supported platform, game, media, or service.
  • If you are under the age required to use a relevant platform or service, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You are responsible for activity on your own accounts, devices, game accounts, communication accounts, media provider accounts, Cranix account, and any Cranix-related saved settings or linked accounts.
  • You are responsible for keeping your devices, passwords, access tokens, and accounts secure.

3. Acceptable Use

You must not use Cranix to:

  • break the law, harass others, threaten others, spam, scam, impersonate people, or distribute harmful content;
  • share illegal, abusive, hateful, exploitative, or malicious content;
  • cheat in games, bypass access controls, abuse APIs, scrape unlawfully, exploit bugs, or disrupt services;
  • upload, share, stream, or distribute content you do not have the right to use;
  • reverse engineer, attack, overload, interfere with, or attempt to compromise Cranix systems, servers, websites, apps, accounts, update services, or downloads;
  • misrepresent Cranix as affiliated with a third-party platform unless Cranix clearly says that affiliation exists.

4. Accounts, Saved Data, and Public Sharing

  • Some Cranix products may allow accounts, saved settings, linked game accounts, favourite profiles, public reports, dashboards, servers, channels, messages, or community records.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the right to save, link, view, publish, or share any account, profile, message, attachment, report, or content.
  • Public links, public reports, public profiles, or shared content may be visible to anyone with access to the link or location until they are deleted, expired, hidden, or disabled.
  • Cranix may remove content, restrict accounts, or disable access where needed for safety, security, abuse prevention, or rule enforcement.

5. Cranix One Terms

  • Development status: Cranix One is currently in closed beta and may contain bugs, outages, missing features, unfinished moderation tools, or data loss risks.
  • Communication rules: you may not use Cranix One for illegal activity, harassment, hate speech, abuse, spam, scams, malware, threats, or harmful content.
  • Messages and attachments: you are responsible for the content you send, upload, stream, or share through Cranix One.
  • Voice, video, and screen sharing: you must not record, stream, or share private conversations, screens, or content unless you have the right to do so and the required permission from others involved.
  • Beta testing: access can be limited, changed, paused, or removed during testing. Features may not be stable or permanent.

6. Cranix Player Terms

  • Service purpose: Cranix Player is a desktop media application for music and video. It is not based on or limited to any single provider.
  • Local media: you are responsible for making sure you have the right to open, play, organise, or use any local media files through Cranix Player.
  • Provider integrations: Cranix Player may support integrations with third-party music or video providers over time. Those integrations depend on provider availability, provider rules, technical access, account status, and service changes.
  • Affiliation: Cranix Player is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any third-party media provider unless Cranix clearly states otherwise.
  • Third-party provider terms: when using Cranix Player with a supported provider, you are responsible for following that provider’s terms, copyright policies, account rules, and technical restrictions.
  • No content ownership: Cranix Player does not give you ownership of third-party music, videos, artwork, metadata, playlists, albums, channels, or other protected content.
  • Copyright: you may not use Cranix Player to infringe copyright, bypass access controls, redistribute protected content, or copy content where you do not have the legal right to do so.
  • Availability: Cranix Player depends on local device compatibility, release hosting, and any third-party media providers you choose to connect. Features may change, pause, or stop working if those services change, restrict access, or become unavailable.

7. Cranix Notes Terms

  • Cranix Notes is designed as an offline-first notes app, but early builds may contain bugs, missing features, or data loss risks.
  • You are responsible for backing up important notes, notebooks, widgets, attachments, and local files.
  • If cloud sync or account sync is introduced later, additional terms or privacy information may apply.
  • You must not store or share unlawful, harmful, infringing, or abusive content using Cranix Notes.

8. Cranix Scout Terms

  • Service purpose: Cranix Scout is a game statistics, live-game information, and player insight tool. League of Legends is the first supported game, but Cranix Scout may support additional games over time.
  • No guarantee: stats, rankings, live-game information, match history, recommendations, scores, and analysis may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or affected by third-party service changes.
  • Third-party data: Cranix Scout may rely on Riot Games or other game data providers. Those providers are not responsible for Cranix Scout unless they clearly say otherwise.
  • Fair use: you must not use Cranix Scout to harass players, dox users, automate abuse, overload services, or misuse public game information.
  • Public reports: shared reports may be visible to anyone with the link. Do not share reports if you do not want the information to be public.

9. Cranix Core and Future Platform Terms

  • Cranix Core is planned as the shared platform layer for Cranix accounts, update delivery, product access, support, and cross-product services.
  • When Cranix accounts are introduced, you must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure.
  • Cranix may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts used for abuse, security attacks, spam, harassment, illegal activity, or violations of these terms.
  • Future paid features, account features, support tools, or update services may have additional terms shown at the time they are introduced.

10. User Content

  • You keep ownership of content you create, but you give Cranix permission to process, store, transmit, display, or use that content where needed to provide the service or feature you are using.
  • You must only upload, share, or publish content you have the right to use.
  • Cranix may remove or restrict content where it appears to break these terms, third-party rules, platform policies, or applicable law.

11. Third-Party Services

Cranix may rely on third-party services for hosting, downloads, updates, music, game data, authentication, support, and infrastructure. These may include services such as Cloudflare, GitHub, Discord, Riot Games, Microsoft, supported media providers, and other providers used by Cranix products.

Cranix is not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, policy changes, account restrictions, API changes, data loss, or platform decisions outside Cranix control.

12. Payments and Paid Features

Most Cranix services are currently experimental, in development, or free to access unless clearly stated otherwise. If paid features, subscriptions, donations, supporter perks, hosting, or commercial services are introduced, the price, renewal terms, refund position, and any extra conditions should be shown before purchase.

13. Updates, Downloads, and Installers

  • Cranix apps may receive updates through GitHub releases, the Cranix website, or future Cranix update services.
  • You are responsible for downloading Cranix apps from official or trusted Cranix links.
  • Beta builds, unsigned builds, test installers, and early releases may trigger operating system warnings or behave unexpectedly.
  • You should not redistribute modified Cranix installers or pretend unofficial builds are official Cranix releases.

14. Suspension and Termination

Cranix may restrict, suspend, block, remove, or terminate access to Cranix products, accounts, downloads, support spaces, or community features if we believe these terms have been broken, if there is a security risk, if abuse is detected, or if continued access may harm Cranix or other users.

15. Software Provided “As Is”

Cranix software, websites, downloads, beta builds, tools, and services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Cranix does not guarantee that every feature will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, compatible with your device, free from bugs, or available forever.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Cranix is not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, lost profits, account issues, service interruptions, third-party platform changes, or damage caused by misuse, unsupported modifications, or beta software risks.

16. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as Cranix products change, as Cranix Core is introduced, as new features are added, or if Cranix becomes a registered business. The “Last Updated” date will be changed when the terms are updated.

17. Governing Law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless another law must apply because of where you live or how a specific service is provided.

18. Contact

For support, account questions, deletion requests, privacy questions, or concerns about these terms, use the support link on the Cranix website.
